    Sarah Chalke is a Canadian actress who is best known for her recurring roles in the highly acclaimed CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” and the NBC comedy series “Scrubs.” At the age of eight, Sarah developed a passion for acting and began appearing on many Canadian children’s television shows.

    When Sarah was a little child, her family relocated from Ottawa to North Vancouver. She received her diploma from North Vancouver, British Columbia’s Handsworth Secondary School in 1994.

    When Sarah was eight years old, she started performing and made appearances in a number of musical theater performances.

    She was selected as a reporter for the popular Canadian kids’ television show “KidZone” when she was 12 years old after competing against a large pool of applicants.

    Working on the CBC-produced television drama series “Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy,” she temporarily made her way back to Canada (1998–1999).

    Along with the comic group “The Lonely Island,” Chalke was featured in the Channel 101 spoof of the popular television program “The O.C.” dubbed “The ‘Bu.” However, Pamela Fenton was given credit for her.

    In the 2008 comedy-drama movie “Chaos Theory,” she played the supporting role of Paula Crowe.

    In 2008, she was chosen to represent a range of Hanes women’s underwear. Chalke made an appearance in a number of the company’s ads. Zach Braff, her ‘Scrubs co-star, directed the advertisements.

    Early in 2011, she appeared as the lead in the “Mad Love” romantic comedy series, which was created by CBS. But after only one season, the program was canceled.

    She was cast by Bill Lawrence, the former executive producer of “Scrubs,” and had a recurring part in the third season of “Cougar Town.” In the show, Chalke represented Bobby Cobb’s romantic interest.

    Sarah played the lead role in the ABC comedy series “How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life),” which debuted on April 3, 2013.

    Chalke played Polly, a divorced single mother who struggles with staying at her parent’s home due to her current financial situation, in the television series. Only one month into its broadcast, the show was canceled.

    In the “Grey’s Anatomy” episode “Can’t Fight This Feeling” from season 9 in 2013, she played Casey Hedges, a distraught mother.

    In December 2013, Sarah started voicing the role of Beth in the popular Adult Swim cartoon sitcom “Rick and Morty.” Since then, she has continued to perform the role. As of May 2018, the program was renewed for an additional 70 episodes.
