American actress Abigail Hawk is best known for her roles as “Samantha Bonner” in the 1995 television series “Reality Check” and “Abigail Baker” in “Blue Bloods.” Abigail, who was raised in Marietta, Georgia, and was born in Chicago, Illinois, has always been interested in performing.
She received her diploma from Sandy Springs, Georgia’s “North Springs High School.” She was a theater student there when she fell in love with stage performing. She received a BFA in drama from the “University of Maryland,” where she attended.
She made her acting debut in the television series “Reality Check” in 1995, playing a supporting part. She soon took a lengthy vacation to make a brief appearance in the 2007 movie “Across the Universe.”
She made a few minor roles on TV shows including “Body of Proof” and “Are We There Yet?” before landing the lead part of “Abigail Baker/Detective Melissa” in the crime thriller “Blue Bloods” in 2010.
She played the main character in the movie “Almost Paris” in 2017. She won the “Best Actress Award” at the “Golden Door Film Festival” for the part.

Robert and Diane Gustafson welcomed Abigail Hawk into the world on May 4, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois. When she was a little child, she and her parents relocated to Sandy Springs.
Abigail Hawk’s Education
Since she was a teenager, she had an interest in performing. She enrolled at Sandy Springs, Georgia’s “North Springs Charter School of Arts and Sciences.” She developed an interest in performing while working as a trainee in her school’s theater department.
She enrolled at the “University of Maryland” to pursue a BFA in the theater even though she had previously had an appearance in a TV series at that point because she wanted to become an excellent actor. In her undergraduate years, she began performing in plays.
She was very interested in biological sciences and studied them in depth in addition to theater. During her second year of college, she also participated in a work-study trip to Belize where she researched lizards.
‘Suburbia’ was one of the most well-liked plays she performed in during her undergraduate years. The “Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center” was established in 2001 when she was still a student at the university for theater lovers.
She fully embraced this opportunity and engaged herself in the performing arts.
She relocated to New York City to start an acting career after finishing college. She struggled to get acting work in the first few years after relocating to the city.
She worked in retail to help support herself financially. She continued to perform in plays in the meanwhile to polish her acting abilities.
Abigail Hawk’s Career
In 1995, Abigail appeared in a movie in a supporting role in the television show “Reality Check.” Each episode of the children’s comedy series aired for 15 minutes over the course of 14 episodes. In all 14 of the episodes, Abigail played “Samantha Bonner.”
She had a significant acting break before appearing in another film. She made her acting return in 2007 with a little part in the movie “Across the Universe.” She didn’t get any credit for her work in the movie, however.
Then, in 2008, she had yet another brief appearance in the small movie “The Unidentified.”
In the 2010 short film “The Tragedy of Maria Macabre,” she received her first professional major role. She starred in the movie as “Maria Horrific,” a young woman who died without receiving forgiveness, leaving her trapped in horrific nightmares in life to come.
In 2010, she also received a contract to appear as “Abigail Baker” in the police procedural drama series “Blue Bloods.” The following years saw no aggressive growth in her career, and “Blue Bloods” continues to be the role for which she is most known.
She had a special appearance in the crime drama “Body of Proof” in 2011. In one of its episodes, dubbed “Talking Heads,” she represented as “Jenny Avery.”
Even though she had been employed for a significant amount of time, she was unable to restart her acting career by participating in regular acting assignments.
She only made two additional television appearances in the early 2010s, on “The Jim Gaffigan Show” and “Are We There Yet?” She appeared in a few minor guest appearances in both series.
She did, however, score her big break in 2017, when she was hired for “Almost Paris.” Domenica Cameron-Scorsese, the daughter of Martin Scorsese, wrote and directed the movie. Abigail was seen playing “Ellie,” one of the film’s key characters, in her debut as a director.
The movie was a critical hit and received praise and prizes at several international film festivals. Abigail ultimately won the ‘Best Actress Award at the 2017 ‘Golden Door Film Festival,’ which was the first important award of her acting career.
She was given the main part in the television movie “A Christmas in Vermont” in 2016. Average ratings and reviews were given to the movie.
Later, she had guest appearances in programs including “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Noches con Platanito.”
She starred as “Mia” in the romantic comedy-drama movie “Rich Boy, Rich Girl” in 2018. The movie was a horrible disaster both critically and financially.
In the police procedural drama series “Blue Blood,” she continues to represent “Det. Melissa Baker” in 2019. She appeared as a voice actress in the animated movie Bubble Girl in 2019. Soon, she will appear in movies like “As Christmas Goes By” and “Brother’s Keeper.”
