    Borna Barisic is a Croatian footballer who plays as a left-back for Scottish Premiership Rangers and the Croatia national team. He began playing football with Osijek’s youth squad in 2003 and stayed with them for eight years.

    He transferred to neighbouring BSK Bijelo Brdo on January 20, 2012, after failing to get into the first squad. On 5 July 2015, he returned to Osijek after a single season at Bijelo Brdo. On July 12, 2013, he made his cub debut. He signed a five-year deal with league winners Dinamo Zagreb on July 1, 2015. On July 19, 2015, he made his debut for the club. He was loaned out to Dinamo’s feeder club Lokomotiva on August 17, 2015, where he made 20 appearances and contributed two assists across all competitions. He made 36 appearances for Osijek in the 2016-17 season, scoring once and assisting seven times in all competitions as the team finished fourth, its best league result in over ten years.

    After a reported £2.2 million contract with Osijek, he signed a four-year deal with Rangers on August 7, 2018. He made his first appearance for the club on August 12, 2018, in a 2-0 victory against St. Mirren FC. He made 22 appearances for the club in his debut season, contributing four assists across all competitions.

He made 40 appearances for Rangers in the 2019-20 season, scoring two goals and giving 14 assists in all competitions as the team finished runner-up in the Scottish League Cup. He scored a brace from the penalty spot in a 4-3 away victory against Royal Antwerp in the Europa League Round of 32 on 18 February 2021, in his hundredth game for the club. He made 50 appearances for Rangers in the 2020-21 season, scoring 5 goals and contributing 14 assists in all competitions as the team won the Scottish Premiership.
