Plot of the Story
Chris (Eddie Murphy) is a man on a mission in Candy Cane Lane, and he will go to any extent to win the highly prized honor of having the best Christmas decorations in the neighborhood.
But he unintentionally starts a bargain with the clever elf Pepper (Jillian Bell), and she uses a spell to bring the Twelve Days of Christmas to life to increase his chances of winning. As a result, the town is in chaos, and to break the spell and save Christmas, Chris, his wife Carol (Tracee Ellis Ross), and their three kids must battle clever magical creatures.
Joy competes in a track meet, and Pepper uses the leftover decorations to attack the family. After that, the whole family fights to get the decorations back, but they can get four of the five rings back. They discover Pepper has the final ring with the aid of the toys, and they can trick her into falling into a trap and gathering the final ring.
Pepper says Chris had to gather forty rings, but he only gave her five. The majority of the rings are recovered with the aid of Santa Claus, the figurines, and their neighbors, but Pepper has cheated by moving the clock forward five minutes, which causes Chris to become a glass figurine before his time. Santa tells them that their wedding rings are also golden, increasing the total number of rings to 40 and lifting the curse, even though they only have 38. In addition, Santa lets Pepper return to his workshop, where he punishes her by turning her into a figurine. He also assists the other figurines in becoming human again. It’s revealed that Chris finally won the competition and is now the new owner of Peppers Shop, and the prize turned out to be $100,000 in Taco coupons.
