    Dawn Foster was a British journalist, broadcaster, and author who was best known for her contributions to “The Guardian” as a frequent writer.

    She worked as a staff writer for Jacobin magazine and also wrote to the London Review of Books, the Times Literary Supplement, The Independent, The Nation, and a number of other publications over her career. Foster, who grew up in a low-income single-family home, went on to become such a prominent journalist that she was chosen to the long-list for the 2017 Orwell Prize for exposing Britain’s social problems.
