- On 26 May 2013, he helped Go Ahead Eagles gain promotion to the Eredivisie for the first time in seventeen years. Soon after, he was replaced as coach by Foeke Booy.
- He was replaced as Bayern Munich II coach in 2013-15 by Heiko Vogel. On May 22, 2015, Bayern Munich II lost 1-0 against Nurnberg II.
