Gregory Davis, Jr. better known as Greg Tarzan Davis is an American actor, model, and theatre artist. He is famous for playing the role of Javy “Coyote” Machado in the Top Gun: Maverick film and Dr. Jordan Wright in the medical drama television series Grey’s Anatomy.

Gregory Davis Jr. was born on September 25, 1993, in New Orleans. His parents are Gregory Davis and Colette Butler. His father was a boxer, and his mother worked in telecommunications.
Educational Background
Greg Tarzan Davis attended Edna Karr High School. He graduated from there in 2011. Davis studied elementary education and teaching at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He started to study as a dentistry student at LSU, but after his first year, he chose to change his major. Davis received his diploma in 2015.

Davis began his career on social media while attending LSU, posting funny films on the Instagram and Vine platforms and doing comedy skits and videos. He posted under the username “TheRealTarzan.”
Davis started a weekly Instagram soap opera called Living with Jane, which was followed by a sequel called Living with Jane 2. Davis created, produced, recorded, and acted as all of the characters in the weekly soap drama.
In his last semester in college, Davis took up acting and starred in an LSU theater production of By the Way, Meet Vera Stark playing the character of Leroy Barksdale. After graduating in 2015, Davis started as an Elementary School Teacher for the Louisiana State University Laboratory School teaching 1st-3rd graders.
After almost two years of teaching, Davis switched his focus to acting. Davis has done modeling with companies such as Nike and Coca-Cola.
