    Jamie Vardy’s true name is Jamie Richard Vardy, and he was born in Sheffield, England, on January 11, 1987. He comes from a low-income household.     Vardy began his career with the Stockbridge Park Steels youth system when he was sixteen years old. He made his debut in the squad and put in an amazing performance, which piqued the curiosity of a number of football teams. In 2009, he went on trial with Crewe Alexandra for a week. Later, he was turned down for a short-term deal with Rotherham United. In June 2010, he was signed by Halifax Town F.C. Vardy made history by becoming the first player in Premier League history to score nine goals in a single season. He was named Premier League Player of the Month in October 2015, making him the first Leicester player to get the honor. Following his goal-scoring heroics, he was crowned Premier League Player of the Month for November for the second time. For his accomplishments, he was also given a certificate from Guinness World Records. To retain him at the club, he signed a new deal. He also scored 20 goals in the English Premier League, securing Leicester’s first-ever qualifying to the UEFA Champions League. With 24 Premier League goals in the 2015-2016 seasons, he was the second top scorer in the league. He was awarded FWA Footballer of the Year and 2016 Barclays Premier League Player of the Season and was one of four Leicester players chosen to the PFA Team of the Year.

    In the 2016-2017 season, Leicester revised his conditions, and after 20 days, he decided to sign a new four-year contract, and he was retained in the UEFA Euro 2016 squad. He scored his first UEFA Champions League goal on February 22.
