    Jason Beghe is an American television and film actor best known for his appearances in ‘Monkey Shines’ and ‘Thelma & Louise.’

    Jason, who was born and raised in New York City, spent a lot of time as a teenager with his buddy John F. Kennedy, Jr.

    Over time, he developed his interest in performing and enrolled in a theatrical program at the ‘Collegiate School.’

    He began his career as a model in Europe before making his acting debut in the mid-1980s in the film ‘Compromising Positions.’

    His first great break came when he played a paraplegic guy called ‘Allan Mann in the film Monkey Shines: An Experiment in Fear,’ for which he gained global acclaim.

    He also started his TV career in the mid-1980s with the series Dress Gray,’ and went on to act in a number of tiny and supporting parts in shows such as ‘Picket Fences,’ ‘To Have & to Hold,’ ‘America Dreams,’ and ‘Chicago Fire.’

    The following year, Jason made his television debut as ‘Hank Beaumont,’ in a two-episode part in the TV miniseries Dress Gray.’

    He then had a recurring part in the TV show ‘1st & Ten.’ Jason performed in tiny and guest appearances in programs such as ‘Alien Nation’ and ‘Christine Cromwell during the following several years.

    In 1987, Jason played a minor role named ‘Bret’ in the comedy/fantasy film ‘Maid to Order.’ The picture was both commercially and critically successful.

    The next year, Jason landed his first breakout job. He played the lead role in the horror thriller ‘Monkey Shines.’

    In the movie ‘Allan Mann,’ his character is an athlete who is handicapped in an accident and befriends a monkey. The picture was a modest box-office success, but Jason’s performance was universally praised.

    He starred in the road movie ‘Thelma & Louise’ in the early 1990s, playing the part of a state policeman. Both reviewers and fans appreciated the picture, which gained united acclaim.

    It became known as a fashion classic over time. However, Jason’s triumphs did not transfer into greater success. As a result, he remained focused on his TV career throughout the 1990s.

    In the 2000s, he made his guest appearances on shows including ‘Resurrection Blvd.,’ ‘The Beast,’ and ‘Judging Amy.’ He has had central parts in television movies such as ‘Home Alone 4’ and ‘Three Blind Mice.’

    In 2004, he portrayed the meaty part of ‘Gunnery Sergeant Finch’ in the sitcom ‘American Dreams,’ in which he performed for 11 episodes.

    In the same year, he participated in the television series ‘Everwood,’ as ‘John Hayes for six episodes. He played minor parts in programs such as ‘Cane,’ ‘Californication,’ and ‘Castle’ in the second half of the 2000s.

    In the late 2000s, he resumed his cinematic career, appearing in films such as ‘One Missed Call’ and ‘The Next Three Days.’

    He went on to play prominent parts in films including ‘X-Men: First Class and ‘Atlas Shrugged: Part II.’ He has lately acted in films such as “Phantom” and “Safelight.” He has just relaunched his television career.

    Apart from his position as the protagonist in ‘Chicago P.D.,’ he also had supporting and recurring roles in ‘Chicago Med’ and ‘Chicago Justice.’

    In the 2013 animated direct-to-video film ‘Superman: Unbound,’ he voiced the part of a terrorist. He directed the 2018 movie named ‘Pale City.’

    The Church of Scientology has long been a controversial organization, and Jason is one of the performers that has previously been affiliated with it.

    However, in a 2008 interview, Jason said that fashion was extremely harmful. He has spoken out in various public venues, expressing his negative experiences with the organization.
