Early Years of Jeremy Lin
Jeremy Shu-How, Ph.D. Lin was born in Torrance, California, on August 23, 1988, to Taiwanese immigrants Lin Gie-Ming and Shirley Lin. His parents are dual citizens of Taiwan and the United States. His father family is from Beidou, Changhua, Taiwan, while his maternal grandmother is from Pinghu, Zhejiang, China.
Josh and Joseph are Lin’s two brothers. Lin was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and as a senior in high school, he was named Northern California Player of the Year. At the local YMCA, his father taught him how to play basketball.
He entered at Harvard University after receiving no sports scholarship offers, where he was a three-time Ivy League All-Conference player. Out of college, he was undrafted.

Lin made his NBA debut in 2010 with the Golden State Warriors.
He quickly became an important component of the team’s seven-game winning run, scoring more points than Kobe Bryant in the process.
Jeremy Lin was featured in a number of publications, and models of his No. 17 jersey quickly became popular. Lin, on the other hand, was forced to sit out the remainder of the regular season due to a knee injury.
He also had to get surgery to correct the issue.
His initial deal was barely $762,195, but the Houston Rockets offered him $25.1 million in July 2012.
On July 7, 2016, Lin signed a three-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets. In a 122–104 defeat against the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 14, 2017, he set a season best with 24 points. On April 6, 2017, he established a new season high with 32 points in a 115–107 defeat to the Orlando Magic.
