    Jo O’Meara is the stage name of Joanne Valda O’Meara, an English singer and songwriter. She is most known for her time as a member of the musical group “S Club 7” from 1999 until 2003.

    The group’s debut hit, “Bring It All Back,” was released in 1999 and immediately went to number one. They went on to score four UK No. 1 singles and a No. 1 album in the United Kingdom. Before disbanding in 2003, the band featured TV programs such as “Miami 7” and “Viva S Club.” Jo’s initial effort at a solo career collapsed immediately after the band broke, despite the fact that he was regarded the best S Club singer. Jo also released unplugged versions of “Don’t Stop Movin'” and “Relentless” in April and May 2021, respectively, while her second album, “With Love,” was published on August 27, 2021.

    Jo O’Meara, actual name Joanne Valda O’Meara, was born in Romford, Essex, England on April 29, 1979. She did, however, grow up on Collier Row. Her nationality is British, and her ethnicity is British-white. In the same way, she follows the Christian faith. Jo became 42 years old in 2021, and her zodiac sign is Taurus, according to her birth date. As a result, her race is white. Her father, Dave O’Meara, and mother, Barbara O’Meara, are her parents. Shane and Julie, her brother and sister, are her siblings.

    Jo received her schooling at Clockhouse Junior School and Bower Park School, where she excelled in music, singing, and dancing.

    Jo O’Meara began her career as a member of the musical group “S Club 7,” for which she had her own BBC television series, “Miami 7,” in 1999. The band lasted five years and achieved four UK No. 1 singles and one UK No. 1 album during that time. The band released four studio albums, the first of which, “S Club,” featured a strong 1990s pop feel. Their musical style then shifted to a more dance and R&B feel, which can be heard most prominently on their last album, “Seeing Double.”
    S Club 7 was joined to Polydor Records, and their television series lasted four seasons. In addition to the success of their television series, the band won two Brit Awards in 2000 for British breakthrough act and in 2002 for best British song.

    In addition, the group won Record of the Year in 2001, however S Club announced their disbandment during a live onstage performance on April 21, 2003. Jo then hired Simon Fuller as her artist manager and began making her first solo album in 2004. However, she parted ways with Fuller in December 2004 when talks with Polydor Records fell through and they clashed over the recorded tracks. She later went to the studio to record new songs, with the intention of releasing “Taxi Cab,” “Lovely,” or “Don’t Wanna Let You Down” as her first single.

    In July 2005, she signed with Sanctuary Records, and on September 26th of same year, she released her first solo single, “What Hurts the Most,” a cover of Mark Wills’ 2003 song. She published her first album, “Relentless,” on October 3, 2005, and in February 2006, she appeared in the BBC reality program “Just the Two of Us.” In January 2007, she appeared on “Celebrity Big Brother.”

    In November 2008, Jo, Bradley McIntosh, and Paul Cattermole founded the spin-off group S Club 3, which has been playing in nightclubs, colleges, and Butlins holiday camps around the UK. During their concert in Bradford on November 12, 2008, a bottle was thrown and hit O’Meara, leaving her with a wound to the head that required hospital care. A 20-year-old guy was detained, and the incident was related to her presence on “Celebrity Big Brother.”

    On The Popes’ 2012 album “New Church,” Jo was featured in a rendition of Python Lee Jackson’s song “In a Broken Dream,” which was her first public track in seven years. In November 2014, the seven original S Club members reunited on BBC Children In Need to perform a mashup of some of their best songs. In May 2015, they embarked on a reunion tour called Bring It All Back 2015.
    She continued to travel with Tina Barrett and Bradley McIntosh as S Club 3 after the S Club reunion. In 2017, the three released a charity song called “Family,” however it failed to chart in the United Kingdom.

    In August 2020, Jo stated that she would no longer be performing as S Club 3 in order to concentrate on her impending second studio album. She also released unplugged versions of “Don’t Stop Movin'” and “Relentless” in April and May 2021, respectively. Her second studio album, “With Love,” was released on August 27, 2021.

    Jo O’Meara is a single woman. She was formerly married to Bill Slate, whom she started seeing in 2006 and divorced in 2008. On May 12, 2008, she gave birth to a 7 pound 15-ounce son called Lenny through cesarean section. We may presume she is not dating anybody right now since she is content with her single life.
