    Jordan Henderson is an English professional footballer who captains Liverpool in the Premier League and the England National Team.

    Early Years

    Jordan Henderson’s real name is Jordan Brian Henderson, and he was born in Sunderland, England, on June 17, 1990. His father is a retired police officer named Brian Henderson, and his mother is a fitness instructor named Liz Henderson. He is the only sibling he has. Jody Henderson is his sister’s name. He attended Farringdon Community Sports Club and then Sunderland University.

    Jordan joined Sunderland’s youth system when he was eight years old. In July 2008, he signed a professional contract with the club. In the League Cup, he got his first Sunderland start and home debut against Blackburn Rovers. Jordan signed a one-month contract with Championship team Coventry City in January 2009.In a defeat against Derby County, he made his Coventry debut. On February 28, 2009, he scored his first senior goal against Norwich City. He returned to Sunderland in April 2009 after his injury.

    Jordan came into the Sunderland first squad in 2009-2010, making six Premier League games. In the third round of the League Cup, he scored his first senior goal for the club. He scored his first Premier League goal against Manchester United on December 19th. In the absence of Lee Cattermole, he spent the majority of the seasons as a right-sided midfielder, but he also played centrally. His versatility and consistency earned him a new five-year deal on April 23, 2010. In January 2011, he was featured on the official FIFA website as one of the young players to watch. For the second season in a row, he was named Sunderland’s Young Player of the Year.

    Jordan joined Liverpool for an unknown price on June 9, 2011. In Liverpool’s first Premier League match of the 2011-2012 season, he made his debut. He scored his first goal for Liverpool on August 27, 2011. He debuted as a right midfielder in Liverpool’s 2012 League Cup Final victory over Cardiff City on February 26, 2012. From his 44 appearances in the match, he scored two goals in the 2011-2012 season. During the 2013-2014 season, he established himself as a regular member of the Liverpool team. However, before playing 35 Premier League appearances, he collected his first red card, which resulted in a three-match suspension. As a result, he has missed three of the last four games. On September 29, 2014, he made his 100th appearance for Liverpool.

    Jordan had a strong start to the season. He was named vice-captain of the club. He took over as captain for Liverpool in the Premier League for the first time on November 29. He scored the game-winning goal on his 150th appearance for the club against Leicester City. On April 23, he agreed to a five-year contract deal with Liverpool. Jordan was named captain of the team in June 2015. However, because of his heel injury, he was unable to return to the starting lineup. Jordan returned to the starting eleven for the 2016-2017 season, making frequent appearances. On September 16, he scored a magnificent 25-yard strike against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. As a result, he was named Premier League Goal of the Month.

    A career that spans the globe

    Jordan has represented England on four occasions. He made his under-19s debut against the Czech Republic in 2009. In the European U21 Champions Play-off versus Romania, he scored his first goal for England. Jordan was named to England’s U21 squad for the European Championships in 2011. In a Euro 2013 qualifier, he captained England’s U21 team. In the debut year of the award, he was named England’s U21 Player of the Year. After that, he captained the under-21 squad at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2013.

    Jordan was left out of England’s U21 squad on November 11, 2010, but was called up to the senior squad on November 17, 2010. He made his first appearance in a match as a central midfielder. He was then called up to the England Euro 2012 squad to replace the injured Frank Lampard. In England’s first match of the tournament, he made an appearance. He was also named to a 23-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Jordan was nominated to the England National Team’s 23-man team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and he participated in the tournament. He has yet to score in this World Cup, having only played three games so far.
