    Rahi Jeevan Sarnobat is an Indian female athlete who has won the 25-meter pistol shooting competition. She was the first Indian woman to win gold at the Asian Games and the first Indian pistol shooter to earn an ISSF World Cup gold.

    She is the first Indian woman to qualify for the Olympics in the 25-meter sports pistol event. She became the first Indian woman to win an individual Asian Games gold medal in shooting on August 22, 2018, when she won the 25-meter pistol event with a Games record score of 34. She won the gold medal in the 2019 World Cup event in Munich, securing her spot in the Tokyo Olympics.

    Rahi Sarnobat’s Bio

    On October 30, 1990, Rahi Jeevan Sarnobat was born. Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India is where she was born. Jeevan Sarnobat and his mother, Prabha Sarnobat, gave birth to her. In Kolhapur, she attended Usharaje High School and Vivekanand College. He is of Indian descent. Hinduism is her faith. Scorpio is her horoscope sign.

    Sarnobat Rahi Career

    In 2007, she chose to pursue a career in photography. At the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India, she earned her first gold medal. She won two gold medals in the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India, in 2010. She was chosen for the 2012 London Olympics after earning bronze in the 2011 World Cup and became the first female Indian shooter to qualify for the 25-meter sports pistol event.

    When she won the 25-meter pistol event at the ISSF World Cup in Changwon, she became India’s first World Cup gold medalist in pistol shooting. She won gold in the women’s 25-meter pistol event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. She and her colleagues Heena Sidhu and Anisa Sayyed won bronze in the 25m pistols at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea. The National Rifle Association of India nominated her for the country’s renowned Arjuna Awards in May 2015. (NRAI).

Following her triumph at the Asian Games in 2018, the Maharashtra government awarded a prize of Rs. 50 lakh for her.
