Rosemarie Braddock DeWitt is a theater, TV, and film actor from the United States. She is most recognized for her roles in the movies Rachel Getting Married and Your Sister’s Sister as well as the television shows Standoff and United States of Tara.
DeWitt has been in notable parts in a number of movies and TV shows. She won several awards for her title role in the comedy-drama “Rachel Getting Married,” including several critics’ honors.
She further received praise for her work in the comedy-drama movie “Your Sister’s Sister.” She had an appearance in the biographical film “Cinderella Man,” directed by her maternal great-grandfather James Walter Braddock.

Her maternal great-grandfather was the American boxer, James J. Braddock. From 1935 through 1937, he held the title of heavyweight world champion. DeWitt’s father’s first marriage produced eight DeWitt’s father’s first marriage produced eight half-siblings.

She attended Whippany Park High School, where she graduated in 1989 while residing in Hanover Township. She participated in several high school plays while there.

The couple announced that they had adopted a daughter in May 2013. She was given the name “Gracie James Livingston” when she was born on April 29 of that year.
In December 2016, DeWitt and Livingston announced the adoption of a new daughter. She was given the name “Esperanza Mae Livingston” after she was born in December 2015.

In the early 2000s, DeWitt started her professional acting career. In well-known shows including “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (2001), “Sex and the City” (2003), and “Rescue Me,” he had cameo appearances (2005).
