Ruben Loftus-Cheek is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Chelsea in the Premier League and for the England national team.
Early Years
Ruben Loftus-full Cheek’s name is Ruben Ira Loftus-Cheek, and he was born in Lewis ham, London, on January 23, 1996. He comes from a well-to-do family. Trevor Loftus, his Guyanese father, and Juliette Cheek, his British mother, are his parents. He is Guyanese by birth. Carl and Leon Cort, two of his half-brothers, both played in the Premier League.
Career
Ruben joined Chelsea at the age of eight and made an impression at the start of the 2011-2012 season, but he was unable to play much due to a hip injury. He recovered towards the conclusion of the season and appeared in the 2012 FA Youth Cup Final as a substitute. He played 18 games for the U-18 team and nine games for the U-21 squad in the 2012-2013 season. He helped Chelsea win the FA Youth Cup and was a regular for the U-21 team, who won the Premier League under 21.
